Enabling Permissions for the AI Coach

Most organizations require users to request new Microsoft Teams apps from their IT department by default. Here's a guide on how to allow users to install Nadia on their Microsoft Teams app without requiring a request:

  1. Access the Manage Apps page on the Teams Admin Center by selecting "Teams Apps" from the Admin menu and choosing "Manage Apps"

  2. Search for “Nadia, AI Coach by Valence” to find the app

  3. Under “Users and Groups”, make the app available to everyone. If you'd prefer to make the app available to only a subset of users, see instructions below.

  4. Click Apply to confirm the settings

To make the AI Coach available only to specific users:

  1. Go here and create a new MS Group with the users you'd like to have access to the AI Coach -- You can upload a csv with emails:

  2. After the group is created, follow the instructions above and select that group from the Manage Apps page

Here are the detailed instructions that you can follow from the Microsoft support center.

Installing the AI Coach for your organization (or a specific User Group)

Once you have enabled the app for your organization, you also have the option to pre-install the app for all users by updating your organization's Setup Policy for Teams. Here's how to do it:

  1. Access Setup Policies in the Admin center by selecting "Teams Apps" from the Admin menu and choosing "Setup Policies"

  2. Select the org’s global setup policy if you'd like to pre-install the app for everyone or configure a custom policy just for the user group you created above

  3. Tap “+ Add” and add “Nadia, AI Coach” to the Installed apps table. This will install the app by default for every Microsoft Teams user in your organization.

Here are the detailed instructions that you can follow from the Microsoft support center.

Pinning the AI Coach for your organization (or a specific User Group)

Pinning the AI Coach app can make it easier than ever for employees at your organization to find their AI Coach and return to a coaching organization. Once you have completed all the steps above, including configuring your organization's Setup Policy, here's how to pin the app:

  1. Navigate to the Setup Policy that you created above

  2. In the Pinned Apps table, click “+ Add” and add the “Nadia, AI Coach” app

  3. Select the order you want the app to be pinned

  4. Save your updates to the policy to pin the app for the selected users.

Here are the detailed instructions that you can follow from the Microsoft support center.
