During the Team Discussion: Your Guide to a Meaningful Perspective Session
Ready to dive into your team's Perspective discussion? Let's walk through how to make this a valuable experience for everyone involved!
Getting Started
First things first - you'll want to access the Perspective tool through the left navigation bar.
Before you gather the team, make sure everyone has completed their individual profiles and you've set up your team in the system. When you're ready, click "View Team Report" and then "Start Discussion" to launch into the discussion tool.
We've designed this tool to take the guesswork out of facilitating meaningful team conversations. It provides a natural flow that helps you explore insights about your team while building trust and psychological safety along the way.
Step 1: Warming Up the Team (15-20 minutes)
Getting everyone engaged from the start sets the tone for open dialogue. Begin by sharing the discussion link with your team through email or your preferred chat platform.
You have two great options to kick things off:
Try "Pair Perspective" for some focused one-on-one connections between team members
Or go with "Individual Introductions" where each person can share interesting discoveries from their profile
Both approaches help create that comfortable space for honest conversation!
Step 2: Diving into Team Insights (30-40 minutes)
Now comes the heart of your discussion! Bring everyone back together to explore what makes your team unique. The tool highlights key areas like work organization, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making - spend about 15-20 minutes on each topic that resonates with your team.
Use the Lens Breakdown feature to understand your team's dynamics and encourage everyone to share:
How do these preferences show up in your daily work together?
What surprising-insights are you discovering about each other?
Which current practices are working well and worth keeping?
Step 3: Looking Ahead (10-15 minutes)
As you wrap up, take time to capture the valuable insights and intentions that emerged. What specific changes would help your team work better together? Document these actionable ideas in the Habits tool (check out the guide for more details on this).

But If you're still unsure...
Schedule a call with our Perspective experts to discuss your results - we have a team of experts who are happy to have a call with you about your results and how to best run the conversation. We'll highlight the major risks and focus areas based on the mix of people on your team, and guide you through all the prep needed for the full team debrief. Click here to schedule a 45-minute call.
Don't worry, this conversation won't make anyone look silly or focus too much on vague data. Get everyone talking about their needs and experiences and your whole team will thank you. It might even end in a big show of trust.
