Connections helps Nadia remember the important people in your work life—your teammates, direct reports, stakeholders, and collaborators. As you mention people in your coaching sessions, Nadia automatically identifies them and helps you build a private database of your professional relationships.

When to use Connections

Connections is perfect for:

Preparing for 1-on-1s - Review past conversations and context about a team member before your meeting
Performance review season - See a timeline of mentions and interactions throughout the year
Onboarding to a new team - Keep track of new relationships as you build them

Getting Started: Automatic Connection Detection

When you mention someone during a coaching session, Nadia automatically detects potential connections in real-time:

During your conversation, mention someone naturally (e.g., "I had a great collaboration with Sarah on the product launch")
Nadia highlights the name in your message as it's detected
A dialog box appears below your message asking if you'd like to save this person as a connection.

Your options:

Edit - Add details (role, team, notes) before saving
Decline - Don't save (Nadia won't ask about this person again)

💡 Tip: Even if you decline a connection, you can always add them manually later through your Connections page.

From the homepage, click on the "Connections" tab in the navigation
You'll see a list of all your saved connections with their key details

Understanding the Connection Detail View

Click on any connection to see their detailed profile, which includes:

1. Connection Header

Name and role/title
Organization (if known)
Any tags you've added

2. AI-Generated Summary

Nadia creates a dynamic summary based on all the context gathered about this person. This updates automatically as new information is added.

3. Context & Mentions Tab

This is where all the valuable information lives:

Mention count - Shows how often this person appears in conversations
Nadia’s Notes including:
- 🤖 Nadia’s context - Information Nadia gathered from your conversations
- ✏️ Your context - Notes you've manually added
- Each context piece shows the date and source

Ongoing Connection Management

When existing connections are mentioned

After a connection is saved, future mentions work differently:

The name appears highlighted in your messages when detected
Hover over the name to see a quick connection card
Click the name to jump directly to their full profile

Best practices for rich connections

Be specific when mentioning people (e.g., "Tom from Engineering" vs just "Tom")
Share context about your interactions to help Nadia capture meaningful details
Review regularly before important conversations or reviews
Add manual notes after significant in-person interactions

Privacy & Security

Only you can see your connections
Information is never shared with the actual person
No organizational reporting or analytics on your connections
Your manager and colleagues cannot access your connection data

FAQs

Can I merge duplicate or delete connections?

Currently, connections need to be managed individually. If you have duplicates, we recommend keeping the one with the most context and declining future prompts for the duplicate. You can also delete connections from the connection detail page, which will remove all associated context and mention history

What happens if someone leaves my organization?

Your connection and its history remain in your account. This is valuable for maintaining institutional knowledge and reflecting on past collaborations.

How many connections can I have?

There's no limit to the number of connections you can create. Nadia is designed to scale with your professional network.

Will Nadia ask about every person I mention?

Nadia uses intelligent detection to identify likely professional connections. Casual mentions or well-known public figures typically won't trigger connection prompts.

Can I add connections manually without waiting for auto-detection?

This feature is coming soon! For now, connections are created through Nadia's automatic detection during conversations.

How does this differ from a CRM system?

Connections is designed for personal relationship intelligence, not sales or pipeline tracking. It's about helping you be a better leader and collaborator, not managing deals or accounts.
